We have enjoyed another successful intra-house competition. This terms focus was on para sports, after Kylie Grimes inspirational visit.

The children had to complete four stations-

• Blind target throw. Children had to close their eyes and try to throw 4 bean bags into hoops.
• Seated netball. Children had to sit on a bench and throw a netball into the hoop.
• One leg long jump. Children had to stand on one leg and jump as far as they could.
• One armed bounce and catch. Children had to throw a tennis ball at the wall, using their weaker arm and catch it.

The children all had great fun and spoke about the challenges of doing these sports but how they enjoyed trying their best.

As always the Year 5/6 children supported and encouraged the classes doing the different stations. They offered support and advice when needed. They also recorded the results and added up the totals.

So the results are-

Well done to all the children and we look forward to our next intra-house competition next term. The next one will be athletics stations and earn points towards sports day!
