Birds of Prey 2024

Year 6 had a visit from the Berkshire Birds of Prey where we were able to hold the birds and watch how they fly. The visit linked to our science on adaptations and we were able to look at their eye colour, beak shape and claw length the make connections with how they hunt and when. There were 9 types of birds that visited including: a Harris Hawk, a Kestrel and several fascinating owls. We are hoping to have an owl house in our school grounds to continue to observe these beautiful creatures.
